Rochdale Reformed Congregation
In January 2019, the church that gathered at Hope Chapel sadly held its final service, marking what seemed to be the end—much like many other churches across the UK that have closed their doors in recent years.
In the wonderful providence of God, however, a new chapter began in the summer of 2022 when Hope Chapel was bought by the Rochdale Hope Chapel Heritage Centre.
The remarkable history of Hope Chapel started in 1810. We hope that many today will experience the same transforming grace of God as those in the past. Hope Chapel has always been a place where the hopeless and helpless have found lasting hope, and we believe its message remains just as relevant today as it was in 1810.
While many might think the message of the Bible is outdated, the lives transformed through the ministry at Hope Chapel speak to the enduring power of the gospel. Countless individuals who once resisted the preaching of law and grace were ultimately brought to embrace it, living and even dying for this truth.
On 20th December 2024 we held a re-opening day, and since then we have meetings every Lord’s Day. Although we do not have official members yet, we consider ourselves as a congregation in the literal sense of the word: a gathering of people who come together for religious worship.

After the morning worship, a free meal is served.
